Message from perl5-5.20.3_13: The /usr/bin/perl symlink has been removed starting with Perl 5.20. For shebangs, you should either use: #!/usr/local/bin/perl or #!/usr/bin/env perl The first one will only work if you have a /usr/local/bin/perl, the second will work as long as perl is in PATH.

Message from ghostscript9-agpl-base-9.16_5: Note: in order to use the script "dvipdf", dvips must be installed. This program is provided by another package print/tex-dvipsk. FAPIfontmap and FAPIcidfmap in /usr/local/share/ghostscript/9.16/Resource/Init have to be configured if you want to use FAPI feature. Message from apache24-2.4.20_1: To run apache www server from startup, add apache24_enable="yes" in your /etc/rc.conf. Extra options can be found in startup script. Your hostname must be resolvable using at least 1 mechanism in /etc/nsswitch.conf typically DNS or /etc/hosts or apache might have issues starting depending on the modules you are using. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - apache24 default build changed from static MPM to modular MPM - more modules are now enabled per default in the port - icons and error pages moved from WWWDIR to DATADIR If build with modular MPM and no MPM is activated in httpd.conf, then mpm_prefork will be activated as default MPM in etc/apache24/modules.d to keep compatibility with existing php/perl/python modules! Please compare the existing httpd.conf with httpd.conf.sample and merge missing modules/instructions into httpd.conf! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Message from git-2.8.1: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *************************** GITWEB ************************************* If you installed the GITWEB option please follow these instructions: In the directory /usr/local/share/examples/git/gitweb you can find all files to make gitweb work as a public repository on the web. All you have to do to make gitweb work is: 1) Copy the files /usr/local/share/examples/git/gitweb/* to a directory on your web server (e.g. Apache2) in which you are able to execute CGI-scripts. 2) In gitweb.cgi, adjust the variable $projectroot to point to your git repository (that is where you have your *.git project directories). *************************** GITWEB ************************************* *************************** CONTRIB ************************************ If you installed the CONTRIB option please note that the scripts are installed in /usr/local/share/git-core/contrib. Some of them require other ports to be installed (perl, python, etc), which you may need to install manually. *************************** CONTRIB ************************************ ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Message from ca_root_nss-3.22.2: ********************************* WARNING ********************************* FreeBSD does not, and can not warrant that the certification authorities whose certificates are included in this package have in any way been audited for trustworthiness or RFC 3647 compliance. Assessment and verification of trust is the complete responsibility of the system administrator. *********************************** NOTE ********************************** This package installs symlinks to support root certificates discovery by default for software that uses OpenSSL.
ee /usr/local/www/mediawiki/LocalSettings.php
#$wgSMTP = array (
#
#);
ee /etc/rc.conf
#sendmail_enable="NO" sendmail_enable="YES"
serice sendmail start
