Miscellaneous
How can We improve Our Meetings
- Judith (and Tobias)
- we should use our meetings as German Stammtisch
- Basic Language: German
- special explanations in english (if necessary)
- Advantage: meeting has a more causal touch and we could invite interested Incomings
- What do we need to change?
- discuss in a very small meeting part necessary parts together (eg. who helps at upcoming event)
- drop Reports at the beginning of a meeting
- if somebody is interested, he/she can ask someone who has participated
- everyone is responsible to prepare the meeting
- it is not necessary to make a cake!
- prepare coffee machine, plates with cookies, cake, fruits (etc.)
- What is wit the good old meeting content?
- if everything is documented it is not necessary to spend hours with talking
- hint: we have a lot of documentations in our google drive, please use it
- only changed content or new ideas has to be updated
- we have to create a event plan before the next semester starts
- Advantage: easy for advertising, Incomings have an overview of the Semester
- changes in the plan need only communicated to the volk
- if everything is documented it is not necessary to spend hours with talking
- Silvio
- disadvantages as I see it
- we should use our meetings as German Stammtisch
- was done of faranto with every second meeting in GAG18 separate room
- atmosphere casual, but level of concentration low, efficiency low, more time for meetings needed + dropping motivation to attend the meetings
- cancelled after one semester
- drop Reports at the beginning of a meeting
- if somebody is interested, he/she can ask someone who has participated
- no distribution of information for everybody,
- no learning process from mistakes due to lack of discussion
- Formation of in-groups who perform certain tasks, high access barriers for others
- less understanding of the necessary collaboration in an association
- less team-feeling,
- less team cohesion because processes (what was done, how did it go) are not well understandable
- if everything is documented it is not necessary to spend hours with talking
- hint: we have a lot of documentations in our google drive, please use it
- This was tried to be implemented in the German economy of the 1990s and went thoroughly wrong
- in our a little confusing documentation in google drive, you find only the facts, but not how and why
- it’s like to try to learn playing piano from a textbook only!!
- high access barriers for newbies
- we should use our meetings as German Stammtisch
- team structure of the members
- party/event/social erasmus
- head of a project, chooses a team -> responsibility is clear
- someone responsible for printing documents
- guide for the different tasks
- write down structure, workload, tasks
- more structured wiki
- PR & marketing
- create advertising
- HR
- going into the courses
- more publicity -> IB
- information events
